Terra Preta NW
Terra Preta NW is a Spokane-based organization focused on promoting carbon mitigation through the use of biochar. Biochar is a form of charcoal produced from organic waste, such as agricultural byproducts or forestry residues, that can be used to sequester carbon and improve soil health. Terra Preta NW is specifically interested in biochar produced from paper mill byproducts in Port Townsend, Washington, and is conducting a life cycle analysis to certify carbon credits generated through this process.
