ABOUT THE TEAM: New Type Group (Auburn, WA) is a for-profit, public benefit corporation commercializing small plastic particle detection and biofiltration technologies.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: NewType uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to improve natural bacteria to break down and consume plastic particles in sewage treatment plants, industrial composters, soil, and bodies of water. During NextCycle, the team will refine its business plan and messaging, connect with partners, and identify funding opportunities.
