Making A Difference Foundation

ABOUT THE TEAM: Making a Difference Foundation (MADF) is the sponsoring agency for the Farm to Full Bellies program. The top goal of this program includes salvaging and gleaning still-edible food that would otherwise go to waste due to farmers’ inability and lack of resources to harvest what is left behind and then give away the food at MADF’s Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank serving 70,000 people per month. The program works with 26 local Puget Sound farmers in the BIPOC community for the gleaning of culturally relevant crops, helping to serve the food bank’s 70% BIPOC client base.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: MADF is seeking to renovate the building where the farmers will receive business services and is seeking identification of funding pathways and connection to new resources and partners. This project will help to decrease food waste while providing healthy food to those facing food insecurity.
