-
Regenerate
Developing equitable local economies while reducing waste, keeping materials in use longer, and regenerating natural systems.
-
Nurture
Nurturing projects that incorporate waste prevention, repair, reuse, recycling, and/or composting models.

Re+ Seed Grants
The King County Re+ program and NextCycle Washington are partnering to support projects that keep valuable materials in use and out of the landfill. Your business or project can get a boost of up to $10,000 to conduct research or testing, validate and market your product or service, purchase equipment or supplies, and more!
Businesses, nonprofits, community-based organizations, institutions, and tribal nations are encouraged to apply.
Up to 15 Seed Grants will be awarded to initiatives that strengthen King County’s circular economy. (Please note: eligible projects must impact King County’s waste system, this excludes Seattle and Milton.)
On May 19, 2025, NextCycle Washington Circular Accelerator teams pitched their innovative repair, reuse, recycling, composting, and circular business projects to a panel of judges and an audience of business, recycling, investment, and community representatives. Watch a recap of the event to see how these teams are shaping the future of Washington’s circular economy.
